My vote goes to Thin Lizzy. Fantastic band that started out as a trio singing Irish ballads that morphed into a hard rock quartet with twin lead guitars and a powerful singer Phil Lynott, who also happened to be a badass bass player and songwriter. Thin Lizzy influenced a generation of musicians including another Irish quartet that you might have heard of—U2.
